Our Nuna.

The milisecond we opened up our MIXX2 Nuna stroller and quickly put it together Matt joyously cried out "FINALLY, a damn stroller that makes sense."

When I became pregnant with Theodore, a new car seat and stroller was on my mind. I really did not enjoy the one that I lugged Kaia around in and after realizing just how much time you spend with these two pieces, I knew I had to do my research. Nuna is very well known company for creating quality, high end products. If there is one thing you should not skimp out on, in my opinion, it's a car seat and a stroller. Not only for safety reasons but also for the simple fact that as a Mom you become one with your stroller and it's important to really quite like it, or else, much like how I did, you might go a little cray cray.

For the first few months of owning the MIXX2 stroller and PIPA infant car seat Matt would push it around and every time he would say "Should I just be the one doing the review for you? I'm so obsessed with the thing, I feel like I would know all the right things to say." Just an FYI, I think he likes being the centre of attention sometimes, who woulda thunk it? But he's right, it is so very easy to chat about the MIXX2 and all the wonderful things that it has to offer.

Here in my opinion are some of the best features of the MIXX2 stroller:

  1. The fact that it comes with a separate seat for when he gets older. My other stroller left this part attached and so the car seat plus that extra seat made it heavy to push around, and, duh, not as attractive.
  2. How easy it is to open and close. Easy peazy lemon squeezy. You take the stroller out of your trunk and it's assembled in under 10 seconds, I can guarantee it.
  3. The large basket that allows for all your unnecessary purchases. It truly makes no sense to me how a stroller could not have a large basket underneath for storage. Where do these other companies expect us Mamas to put our stuff? In our bras? It can't all fit in there, I don't think, let's not make me try. Thankfully the MIXX2 provides plenty of storage.
  4. How did I almost forget about the BEST feature? The handles have little buttons on the side that can allow for you to adjust the height. Sometimes I prefer it to be lower, and sometimes I prefer it to be higher. This way I get to choose. It is a  TOTAL game changer.

And also, my favourite features of the PIPA car seat:

  1. The car seat itself is a cozy, safe place for little Theodore to hang out in. The buttons make it easy to take him out of the car and plop him onto the stroller.
  2. It only weighs 7.7lbs, IT DOESN'T GET ANY BETTER, TRUST ME. You will thank me for this one later, lugging around a heavy car seat is the worst.
  3. The fabric keeps Theo cool in hot temperatures and toasty in cold weather terrain, this is important for us being in Canada and all of our unpredictable weather.
  4. The full coverage canopy is great to cover his little eyes when were out and about letting Kaia do all the fun stuff (don't worry bubby, it'll be your turn soon)

If you're in the market for a new stroller, please reach out to me. After having a few bad apples with certain things my first go around with Kaia, it's important to me to help steer new Mamas in the right direction. Hey, if you're in the Nova Scotia area and want to come push Theodore around in ours, I wouldn't say no to that either.
